Murray Gold is Managing Partner at Koskie Minsky LLP, and a leading practitioner in the area of pensions and employee benefits.

Murray served as one of four Expert Advisors to the Ontario Expert Commission on Pensions, which reported in 2008. Murray continues to be actively involved in legislative and policy reform in the pension and benefits area.

In addition to his advisory practice, Murray has led Koskie Minsky’s teams in the insolvencies and restructuring of Air Canada and Stelco, and recently established Canada’s first funded post-retirement healthcare trust in the auto sector. He was Canadian counsel to a major Ontario pension plan in U.S. securities fraud litigation against Nortel.

Murray completed his undergraduate education, with honours, from Harvard University in 1981, and has a law degree from the University of Toronto Law School (1984).
